KAMARU USMAN

Riding a nine-fight winning streak in the UFC, Usman next faced UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley on March 2, 2019, in the co-main event at UFC 235. He won the fight via unanimous decision to become the new UFC Welterweight Champion. Usman made his first title defense and faced Colby Covington at UFC 245 on December 14, 2019. He was victorious via fifth round technical knockout. This fight earned him the Fight of the Night award.

GILBERT BURNS

Burns was expected to face returning veteran Eric Wisely on April 27, 2019 at UFC Fight Night: Jacaré vs. Hermansson. However, it was reported on April 18 that Wisely pulled out of the bout, citing injury. He was replaced by newcomer Mike Davis.Burns won the fight via rear-naked choke submission in the second round. Burns returned to the welterweight facing Alexey Kunchenko on August 10, 2019 at UFC on ESPN+ 14, replacing injured Laureano Staropoli. He won the fight via unanimous decision, marking Kunchenko’s first loss in his career.  Burns stepped in as a late replacement to face Gunnar Nelson, on September 28, 2019 at UFC on ESPN+ 18. He won the fight via unanimous decision.

JORGE MASVIDAL

Masvidal faced Nate Diaz on November 2, 2019 in the main event at UFC 244. In a unique situation, UFC President Dana White confirmed that the headlining bout was for a celebratory “baddest motherfucker” (‘BMF’) belt. Masvidal won the fight via technical knockout via doctor stoppage between rounds three and four when the cageside physician determined a cut over Diaz’s right eye rendered him unable to continue.

MIKE PERRY

After the fight with Cerrone, Perry signed a new contract with the UFC and faced Alex Oliveira on April 27, 2019 at UFC Fight Night: Jacaré vs. Hermansson. He won the back-and-forth fight by unanimous decision. The win also earned Perry his first Fight of the Night bonus award. Perry faced Vicente Luque on August 10, 2019 at UFC on ESPN+ 14. He lost the fight via split decision. This fight earned him the Fight of the Night award. As a result, Perry was expected to be sidelined for the remainder of 2019 after undergoing surgery to correct facial injuries sustained during the Luque fight. Perry faced Geoff Neal on December 14, 2019 at UFC 245. He lost the bout via first round technical knockout.

After going undefeated (9-0) as an amateur, Price made his professional MMA debut in February 2012. Before joining the UFC Price amassed a record of 8-0 with 7 of his 8 wins coming by stoppages. Price faced Tim Means on March 9, 2019 at UFC on ESPN+ 4. He won via knockout in the first round, becoming the first man to finish Means by knockout in MMA competition. This win earned him the Performance of the Night award. Price faced Geoff Neal on July 27, 2019 at UFC 240. He lost the fight via technical knockout in round two. Price faced James Vick on October 12, 2019 at UFC on ESPN+ 19. He won the fight via knockout in round one. This win earned him the Performance of the Night bonus award.
